Fall is officially here! Let’s hope the cooler weather is not too far behind. The arrival of fall also means the impending arrival of the busy holiday season. We only have one month until Halloween and all of the trick-or-treaters converging on the neighbor-hood. Soon after, Thanksgiving will give us all the chance to reflect and give thanks for all that we have. With Thanksgiving, we also have the beginning of the busiest season of all, Christmas. Time to decorate the neighborhood and put it on display for the multitude of cars that come each year to enjoy our spectacular display. Regardless of which December holiday you may observe, I hope that you will join in on the fun and help us show off our wonderful holiday spirit.
With that in mind, it is very important for all of us to focus on keeping our neighborhood looking its best. Therefore, I would like to remind everyone of the deed restrictions that we must all follow. I would like to reiterate the main points from a letter our immediate past president, Raffael, sent out a few years ago.
We live in such a great community and we need to ensure that it is well maintained and marketable.
The key points of emphasis from the deed restrictions and other common courtesies:
 Do not leave boats, trailers, campers or inoperable vehicles on the street or in driveways or on side yards within view of the street. Keep them parked in a garage.
 Do not park vehicles on your or other’s yards. When parking on the streets, please leave access space for garbage, mail, UPS trucks and other large vehicles. Please try to keep cars in the driveway.
 Keep all trash containers out of sight from the street when stored.
 Keep lots free of debris and weeds. If failure to control overgrowth and weeds occurs, any other lot owner has the right to go on the offensive property and mow, clean and bill the lot owner of record for cleanup.
 If your trees, bushes, or other vegetation is growing from your property over and onto your neighbor’s property, please be courteous and trim or remove the encroaching vegetation.
 Any fence to be erected must be limited to 6 feet in height. Limit fences to wooden, PVC/plastic, or stucco concrete block. Fences should be kept in good repair.
 Please pickup waste when walking your dog.
 Keep the speed limit while driving through the neighborhood to no more than 20 mph & always watch for children.

Holiday Update
It is almost that time of year!
If you are new to Hunter’s Lake, we hope you like to decorate!! We have earned a reputation
as a “must see” Christmas lights neighborhood! So start getting those lights dusted
off.
The annual Hunter’s Lake Holiday Party has been scheduled for Saturday, December 17th! Santa will be stopping
by with lots of great gifts for all the kids. We plan to have the horse-drawn hayride back again! More details to
follow, but we will be asking for everyone to bring a dish to share. So mark your calendar for this popular event!
We will also once again provide luminaries for Xmas eve.
